Distance Should Not Mean Suffering

For remote communities in Far North Queensland, the nearest veterinary clinic can be a grueling thousand-kilometer journey away. When the closest help is that far out of reach, easily preventable illnesses become fatal, and minor injuries turn into heartbreaking tragedies. It’s a silent struggle that leaves both animals and their families feeling helpless - but it doesn't have to be this way.

What You Receive

If you choose to support a community prevention visit by funding a preventative outcome, you'll receive:

  • An impact report detailing the activities delivered

  • Clear data on the number of animals assisted

  • Insights and reflections from the visit

  • Professional assets you can share with your audience (if applicable)

  • First access to our prevention visit video, with a summary of what was achieved

This allows you to track exactly how your contribution was delivered in-community and communicate your efforts with your family and friends.

OUR PROMISE

Total Transparency

How do I track exactly where my money goes?

Every donation is tied to a specific 'bucket' with a clear outcome. Once a bucket is filled, we deliver that outcome at our next prevention visit or in the case of rescue and emergency vet work, when the next case surfaces.

Each month, we publish a detailed breakdown of how those funds were deployed in the community, including photos and stories of the animals helped.

What happens if a bucket is overfunded?

If a surge of generosity pushes a bucket past its goal, we will reserve those funds for the next rescue or prevention visit. The funds will remain shown as available on the website.

How do you choose which communities to support?

We partner closely with local leaders, elders, and community representatives in Far North Queensland. Interventions are always invited and collaborative, ensuring we respect the communities and address their most pressing animal welfare needs.

We also partner with council funded vet clinics, to ensure we can have as much impact as possible, as we know the funds you donate are precious, and we want them to extend as far as possible.

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Remote Animal Assistance is registered with ACNC - DGR1 Status.

You will receive an automated, itemised tax receipt in your inbox immediately after your contribution is processed. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

Can I see proof of the completed outcome?

Absolutely. Transparency is our core value. We document every clinic, surgery, and vaccination drive. We update our socials and mailing list with photos and reports as soon as our teams return from the community

100% Direct Impact

We operate with a simple mission:

To end animal suffering in remote communities of Australia

We do that by tackling animal suffering in remote communities at all stages.

Saving lives today AND protecting them for tomorrow.

Every dollar contributed to an active bucket is dedicated for that specific outcome.

happy for us to decide?

Support Our General Fund

If you don't have any one bucket you want to support, and you are happy for us to decide, you can support our general fund, instead of choosing a bucket.

Your donation goes into our general fund, giving us the flexibility to respond wherever the need is greatest. These contributions help keep our rescue, prevention and community programs running, allowing us to provide help where and when it's needed most.
