A Community Prevention Visit funds coordinated, on-ground visits that strengthen trust, increase participation in veterinary care, and reduce preventable suffering over the long term.
This outcome supports structured prevention in remote Far North Queensland communities - delivered in partnership with local leaders, veterinary teams, rangers and health services.
A Prevention Visit sponsorship can include:
Supporting desexing clinics where they’re needed most, reducing unplanned litters and long-term hardship
Delivering vaccinations and parasite protection to prevent avoidable disease
Encouraging participation through practical incentives such as collars or dog food
Running open education sessions and school-based engagement
Hosting informal BBQ or information sessions that build trust and strengthen relationships
Coordinating local leadership so prevention becomes routine, not reactive
This is a coordinated effort designed to reduce suffering today and lower the risk of it happening again tomorrow.
Prevention Visit sponsorship ranges from $8,000 to $25,000 because it can be shaped to suit your goals and the community’s needs.
For $8,000, you will fund:
2 RAA representatives travelling to a remote community
1 night of accommodation for 2 people
2 days of on-the-ground time for 2 people
A basic BBQ to engage community members and share our message
$1,500 worth of parasite prevention (approx 26 doses / 78 months worth) or vaccinations (approx 21 doses), depending on what's needed most in that community
Low-cost incentives such as collars to encourage desexing participation
An education session at the local primary school or community centre (pending school approval)
Optional value-adds include:
Additional parasite prevention doses at $57 each (3 months cover)
Additional parvo vaccinations at $71 each
If visiting at the same time as the vets - an additional day of desexing procedures (approx 10) for $4,800
If no vets visiting at the same time - can fund a 3-day desexing clinic (approx 25-30 procedures) for $17,000
This outcome is completely customisable and flexible to work with your business goals or philanthropic passions. If you have a particular focus - such as desexing, vaccination, youth education, or community leadership support, we can design this outcome around that.
We are open to discussion. Jump on a call or email us at [email protected] to discuss options that fit within your budget and priorities.
During previous community prevention visits, working alongside Tropical Vets and local rangers, we have seen what consistent, structured prevention can achieve:
Delivered parasite protection to 200+ dogs, allowing rangers to focus on pickups and drop offs.
Saw a significant increase in the number of dogs being desexed per day.
Delivered additional, much-needed parasite prevention and parvo vaccines on top of available council budgets.
We had 100+ conversations with pet owners
And put on a full 'One Health' workshop, strengthening an understanding of animal care through education sessions, open conversataions and community BBQ.
Supporting a Community Prevention Visit includes:
A custom shareable impact report detailing the activities delivered
Clear data on the number of animals assisted
Insight into what was learned on the ground
Professional assets you can share with your audience
Custom branded video of the community prevention visit, with an summary of what was achieved that can be shared on socials, showing the impact of the visit you funded.
Naming rights for the visit
Plus we are open to discussing any further recognition you would like to discuss.
